Dear Manmeet Singh Bhullar Families,
1. Highlights of the Week:
Welcome back! We are all thrilled to see our School Custodians back! I want to extend sincere gratitude to all students who stepped up and made sure our school stayed tidy!
Eid Mubarak to all families who were celebrating early this week.
Before we headed off for Spring Break, staff and students gathered in the gym for our Manmeet Singh Bhullar Talent Show! It was a wonderful celebration of the incredible talents and gifts our students bring to our school community.
Did you hear about the Lirpa Loof that visited the school playground on Tuesday, April 1, 2025? Our Grade 5/6 students headed outside, carrots in hand, eager to feed this mysterious bird—only to discover, thanks to a clever April Fools’ prank, that not all information can be trusted!
Finally, thank you to students and families for helping make our Scholastic Book Fair a huge success!!!
2. Upcoming Events:
- April 16, 2025 School Council 6 pm
- April 18, 2025 Good Friday - No School
- April 21, 2025 Non-Instructional Day – No School
3. Playground:
To help ensure that all students have a safe, fair, and fun experience during playground and outdoor Physical Education, we are introducing a Class Game Contract. This contract outlines basic rules for popular games ( like soccer and basketball), along with important expectations for good sportsmanship and citizenship. By clearly setting these expectations, we aim to promote teamwork, respectful behavior, and conflict resolution skills. We appreciate your support in helping students build positive play habits that extend beyond the classroom. The following “I can” statements will be shared with MSB students:
🧑🤝🧑 Citizenship Rules
- I will play fair and follow the rules.
- I will include others and take turns.
- I will encourage my teammates and use kind words.
- I will solve problems with words, not anger.
- I will show respect whether I win or lose.
4. 📚✨ The School Book Fairy Is Moving In! ✨📚
Something magical is happening at our school...
Whispers of stories, fluttering pages, and a sprinkle of bookish wonder—
The School Book Fairy will officially move in soon!
Keep your eyes open for special book drops, reading surprises, and fairy-approved recommendations appearing around the school.
You never know where she might leave her next story…
Get ready to be enchanted—because reading is about to feel a little more magical!
Warm regards,
Cheryl Zelmer and Rahimay Ness
